Getting Here
On Foot
Wycombe Museum is just a 5 minutes away from High Wycombe High Street. You can find us by crossing over the railway footbridges on Castle Place or Amersham Hill. The entrance to Wycombe Museum is on the corner of Priory Avenue and The Greenway.
By Train
Wycombe Museum is a few minutes’ walk from the Station. Exit the station Platform 1, and walk a short way up Amersham Hill to the pedestrian crossing. Cross the road, turn left and then immediately right onto Priory Avenue. The entrance to Wycombe Museum is on the corner of Priory Avenue and The Greenway.
By Bus
The nearest bus stops to Wycombe Museum are on Castle Street and at High Wycombe Train Station.
By Car & Parking
Wycombe Museum has a small on-site car park with free parking, including one accessible space. Metered road-side parking is available on The Greenway, Priory Avenue and Priory Road. Easton Street Car Park and High Wycombe Train Station Car Park are both within a five-minute walk.
Facilities & Accessibility
Café
A selection of sandwiches, drinks, snacks, and cakes are available from our café. Ask our staff for dietary information. Indoor and outdoor seating and tables are available.
Child & Baby Feeding
Our café serves a selection of child-friendly meals, snacks, and drinks. High chairs are available. Breastfeeding and bottle feeding are welcome anywhere on site.
Unisex Toilets & Baby Change
Gender neutral single-stall toilets are located on the ground floor of the museum. This includes accessible toilets and baby changing facilities,
Buggies Welcome
Buggies are allowed throughout the museum, though parts of our first floor are quite narrow. In busy times we may ask you to leave your buggy with us. Limited buggy parking is available in our foyer.
Dogs
We do not allow dogs or other pets that are not service animals into the museum or garden. Service animals are always welcome at Wycombe Museum, both in the garden and in the museum building.Â
Wheelchairs & Accessibility
Wycombe Museum’s building is fully wheelchair accessible, with a lift and accessible toilet. Some parts of the garden have steep slopes or uneven pathways that may be difficult to access. There is a mound in the garden with fairly steep step access only. There is one designated accessible parking spot in the car park.Â
Grounds & Sensory Garden
Wycombe Museum’s garden has a lot to explore. The garden has several benches and picnic tables. We welcome picnics and packed lunches in our grounds. A selection of garden games can be borrowed from our cafĂ©. We ask that you keep to the paths around the motte hill and sensory garden to keep you safe as there are steep drops and uneven grounds on site.Â
WiFi
Free public WiFi is available within the Museum buildings, including in the cafe. To use, simply select the HWMuseum network, open your browser and accept our terms and conditions.
