On Foot

Wycombe Museum is just a short walk from High Wycombe Town Centre.

By Train

Wycombe Museum is a few minutes’ walk from the Station. Exit by Platform 1, and walk a short way up Amersham Hill to the pedestrian crossing. Cross  the road, turn left and then immediately right onto Priory Avenue. The entrance to Wycombe Museum is on the corner of Priory Avenue and The Greenway.

By Bus

The nearest bus stops to Wycombe Museum are on Castle Street and at High Wycombe Train Station.

 

By Car

We have limited on-site parking, including disabled parking available. Metered road-side parking is available on The Greenway, Priory Avenue and Priory Road. Easton Street Car Park, High Wycombe Train Station Car Park, and Castle Street Car Park are all within a five minute walk.

Facilities

Café

A selection of sandwiches, drinks, snacks, and cakes are available from our café. Ask our staff for dietary information. Indoor and outdoor seating and tables are available.

Child & baby feeding

Our café serves a selection of child-friendly meals, snacks, and drinks. Dairy-free and gluten-free options are available. Ask our staff for dietary information. High chairs are available. Breastfeeding and bottle feeding are welcome anywhere on site.

Unisex toilets & baby changing

Gender neutral toilets, including accessible toilets and baby changing facilities, are located on the ground floor of the museum.

Buggy access

Buggies are allowed throughout the museum, though section of our first floor are quite narrow. In busy times we may ask you to leave your buggy with us. Limited buggy parking is available in our foyer.

Service dogs welcome

We kindly ask that you do not bring dogs into the museum or gardens if they are not a service dog.

Wheelchairs & accessibility

Wycombe Museum is fully wheelchair accessible, with disabled-access lift and toilets. Some parts of are garden have some steep slopes or uneven pathways that may be difficult to access. Check out the link below for more detailed accessibility info.

Grounds & Sensory Garden

We have picnic benches in our gardens, and welcome picnics and packed lunches in our grounds. A selection of garden games can be borrowed from our café. There is a lot to explore in our gardens – we ask that you stick to the paths around the motte hill and sensory garden to keep you safe.

WiFi

 Free WiFi is available within the Museum buildings. Simply select the HWMuseum network, open your browser and accept our terms and conditions.

We welcome photography and filming for personal use. We’d love you to share your snaps on social media, and don’t be shy to tag us. Please turn off your flash to help us protect our collection.
