Toy Soldiers
War Games?
These toy soldiers belonged to Clifford Colmer who played with them in around 1910. His father, Francis Colmer was a well known local historian and artist. Lead soldiers like these were common toys for children after the late 1800s. They were affordable as pocket-money toys. Clifford’s son, Tony, gave these toy soldiers to the Museum.
