Fossil Ammonite
Natural History rocks!
The chalk of the Chilterns was formed more than 100 million years ago, formed from the calcium shells and skeletons of millions and millions of sea creatures. Some of these creatures left imprints in the chalk known as fossils, like this sea- dwelling ammonite. This was found in the High Wycombe area.
