Learning & Engagement Officer

Part-time, 15 hours per week, days be agreed
6 month fixed term contract (with the possibility of renewal)

Are you highly motivated with a passion for developing and delivering learning and connecting young people to collections and heritage stories? We are looking for a lively person with experience of museum learning and engagement to restart our schools engagement programme.

Wycombe Museum has been delivering excellent learning and engagement experiences for over a decade. This was brought to a halt by the pandemic and we need you to bring our programme back to life.

Your main focus will be to develop and begin to deliver a sustainable new programme for local primary schools to ensure Wycombe Museum is working with young people across the area. You will be using our existing excellent handling collection, galleries, lesson plans and links with local schools to build a new schools programme for the future. We also currently deliver various informal and early years programmes, work with learning volunteers, and deliver other engagement and learning sessions. Your input will be invaluable in helping to evaluate these and develop our future strategy.

You will be working as part of a small and dynamic team at Wycombe Museum focused on encouraging collections engagement for all within our area.
