Exhibition runs 26th September 2023 – 10th March 2024 at Wycombe Museum.
This exhibition is all about place: the museum site and garden, and also the wider Wycombe area.
Find out how Wycombe Museum was set up and why it came to be here. Discover the intriguing history of the house before it was a museum, and the different families that lived here.
Wycombe Museum collects and displays the history of High Wycombe and the surrounding area. Find out about how the objects in the Museum are rooted in the local landscape.
The landscape has shaped the stories of its local people, crafts and industries, including chair making – a handcraft that developed into a world-famous industry.
