My Working Chair – Sally Murphy

“I have a music company called Kiddleydivey and we provide music classes and sessions throughout High Wycombe, Princes Risborough and Stokenchurch for children and vulnerable people of all ages. Because of the Covid restrictions, both myself and my 14 franchisees all over the country have lost all of our work as we can no longer enter any of our care homes. We all really miss the residents – you do get very attached to them when you see them every week or month, so we decided to put together themed videos that the care homes could play for the residents to join in with.

These photos are of me during lockdown with sessions called ‘Chair Ballet’. Our residents aren’t for the most part, able to exercise standing up, so I have adapted some simple ballet movements put together with popular ballet music, all done from the stability of a chair. As you can see, my dog Toby likes to help out as well although for the most part he just gets in the way!”
