My Working Chair – Alison Bailey, Betterbodies, High Wycombe

“I love my chair. Actually it was my dad’s chair which is really why it is my favourite chair. We think the chair was made for him, now it sits in my house. I love it, it’s sturdy, secure and has character, we still call it Dad’s Chair. Since March I have been working from home, teaching online fitness classes. Everyone brings a chair into the zoom session. Dad’s chair is a major feature of my class, it’s used as a barre for all our exercise. It’s strong and stable and never lets me down! For the foreseeable future me and my chair will be staying at home delivering exercise classes to the community.
I often wonder what sort of story my Dad would have written if he was sat in it today.”
