My Restored Chair – Thomas Grigg, Downley

“My mum told me this chair belonged to dad’s great Aunt Maude. Maude was very old when my parents got married and too ill to come to their wedding. After she died, mum and dad chose this chair to remember her by. It was old and scruffy so they had it re-covered. It’s really comfy. Apparently mum fed me and my sister in this chair when we were babies especially in the middle of the night. We all like to sit in it if we are extra tired. It’s also a good chair for reading in and zoning out, so it’s my favourite chair.”
