My Old Chair with Memories – Bimpe Dina, High Wycombe

“This chair is special to me because my husband bought it for my mom when she lived with us in London years ago. She loved sitting outside on the balcony, reading her Bible, praying and chilling by getting fresh air. She went back to Nigeria in 2010 but passed away in 2016. At this time I was getting ready to start my coffee shop, LA-Koco Coffee opposite the High Wycombe Arts Centre in Desborough Road. My Mom never saw the coffee shop come into existence but her prayers helped.
So when I opened the coffee shop in September 2018, I decided to bring it to the shop so she is part of the shop. When I feel lonely I sit on it or I joke about her.
Some of my customers also sit on it for a joke too when I tell them it’s my mom’s chair and the story behind it.”
