My Locally Made Chair – Peter Rackstraw, Bledlow

“This is me with a chair made by us at Reed and Rackstraw in Bledlow Ridge. This style of chair was first made by my father in the early ’50s for Harrods in London and he was commissioned to make one that was presented to Prince Charles when he married Diana. The back carving features the Prince of Wales feathers. Paul Reed and myself still make them to this day. Between us we have over 50 years’ experience in designing and making unique English furniture, contemporary, modern and traditional. We also produce copies of original antiques.”
