My Locally Made Chair – Adrian Williams, High Wycombe

“We believe this chair was made for my father in law, Deryck Webb. It is less than 70cm tall. This is my wife, Deryth in the photograph – Deryck’s daughter.

Deryck’s father owned a furniture company in the early 1900s so we are unsure if his father made it or had it made. Deryck’s father was also a wood carver and for a time the carving tools were displayed at Wycombe Museum. Deryck went on to be a furniture designer at Bristow and Townsend before their closure.”
