Paul Stevenson’s paintings and drawings focused on human-sized ‘carapaces’: chairs, aeroplane cockpits, and spacesuits. One example, ‘The Blue Chair’, is on display in Wycombe Museum’s art gallery. Paul Stevenson (1926-2009) taught 3-dimensional design at Bucks College (now Bucks New University) from 1952 to 1984.
