Event Details

The Museum’s summer exhibition Hidden Hands: Women and Work in the Chilterns focuses on the little-known history of the lives of women working in Chilterns traditional crafts. The Woodlanders Lives & Landscapes project volunteers have spent years undertaking research on these women, and how they went about their daily lives.

Take a look with us at the census data and family history research that went into putting together Hidden Hands and see what the Census does – and does not – tell us about Women at Work .

Talk by Keith Spencer, Wycombe Museum & Woodlanders Lives and Landscapes project volunteer.

This talk is free to attend, but with a suggested donation of £5 per person. Donations to the Museum at point of booking or on the event date are much appreciated.

Part of our Hidden Hands: Women and Work in the Chilterns exhibition events programme.
