Exclusive after-hours access to our collections, led by experienced artist and tutor Jane Peacock.
In this session we will be exploring the theme of texture in drawing. The evening will offer opportunities to join in with guided drawing and the freedom to explore galleries and choose your own subject matter.
Bring your own materials: we suggest pencils, fine line drawing pens and/ or charcoal, together with your choice of paper. If possible, bring your own drawing board, or something to support your work on. A4 clip boards are available to borrow. A lightweight camp stool would also be helpful, if you have one.
£15 (booking ahead essential), includes tea, coffee and biscuits.
For adults and children aged 14+. Suitable for all levels of experience, from complete beginners to experienced artists.
Part of our Art at the Museum series.

In this workshop for beginners, you will be introduced to the wonderful world of linocut! You will guided though each stage of this fascinating process; designing, carving, inking and printing your very own single colour print edition. You don’t need to bring anything along – other than a means of getting several very inky pieces of paper home – and remember to wear old clothes as you could get inky yourself!
Jane Peacock is our Artist in Residence and has years of experience in delivering high quality workshops for all ages both here at the Museum and further afield. Â Her website is www.janepeacock.art.
