From 1st to 8th December, Wycombe Museum ran a fundraising campaign through The Big Give’s Christmas Challenge 2020. Our goal was to raise money to go towards supporting local children’s access to heritage and culture in 2021, following the disruption that has been caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. We are excited to announce that in total, your generous donations gave us the fantastic total of £4,625. Thank you!
The Big Give’s Christmas Challenge enables charities to double any donations made by the public because of pledge funds made before the fundraising week began. We received pledge funding from The Reed Foundation – with their initial Pledge donation we were able to match the donations made by the public and essentially double the amount we fundraised.
So, here’s what we’re going to do with it:
With the generous contributions made, we’re going to deliver the following:
- Free Discover & Make holiday craft sessions for 560 disadvantaged local children
- A free community fun day for everybody
- A heritage information panel to go in our grounds
- An outdoor wooden storytelling throne
Once again, we’d like to say a huge thank you to The Reed Foundation and to everyone who contributed to The Big Give’s Christmas Challenge 2020! We couldn’t have done it without you.
