Last spring, Wycombe Museum was awarded a place on Power to Change and The School of Social Entrepeneurs’ Community Business Trade Up Programme to support the growth of income from the museum’s recent venture into running weddings. We’re proud to be the first ever museum to be awarded a place on the scheme.
The programme’s targets are to assist organisations with goals to improve their local neighbourhoods, and is designed to help recover and rebuild income lost due to the difficulties of the pandemic, and fortify organisations to become stronger and more sustainable community businesses into the future.
During the year, we’ve received training from leaders in the field of social enterprise leadership, had opportunities to meet virtually and build networks with other organisations like us, and received £10,750 in funding, some of which has gone towards paying for staff time and training, and some of which is planned to be spent on new marquees to be used in future weddings at Wycombe Museum.
We’d like to thank Power to Change and The School of Social Entrepeneurs for their support, and enabling us to continue our work towards becoming a better and more sustainable organisation for our community. Thank you!
