Happy Cafe Wellbeing Evenings
Wycombe Museum is teaming up with Action for Happiness to become a Happy Café. The idea is simple and inspiring: a friendly and welcome place to meet other people with shared interests in promoting happiness and wellbeing. Wellbeing Evenings happen once a month on a Thursday, from 7 – 9pm. These events are 18+ unless stated otherwise.
 

Happy Cafe: Book Making Workshop

Thursday 14 February | 7 – 9pm 


Using hand dyed and recycled papers, make a simple book and decorate using wooden printing blocks and embellishments. All materials included.

Happy Cafe: Mindset and Emotional Wellbeing Workshop for Mums

Thursday 14 February | 7 – 9pm 


These sessions aim to equip you with the tools and insights you need as a mum in order to move beyond survival mode and feeling overwhelmed into adopting a grounded and centred state so that you can parent from a rock solid foundation of love and kindness.

You will learn how to:

  • Develop a mindset that works for you rather than against you.
  • Have more energy, health and vitality.
  • Consistently embody the values and behaviours you wish to pass on to your children.

Each session will be based around a different topic. Come along to just one or to all four as a series.

Action For Happiness: Exploring What Matters

Tuesday 26 February – 16 April | 7 – 9pm

Exploring What Matters is a secular, science-based course created by Action for Happiness for people who want to learn how to live happily and spread happiness to those around them. Each week is based around a big question.

Week 1: What really matters in life? 
Week 2: What actually makes us happy? 
Week 3: Can we find peace of mind? 
Week 4: How should we treat others?
Week 5: What makes for great relationships? 
Week 6: Can we be happier at work? 
Week 7: Can we build happier communities? 
Week 8: How can we create a happier world?

Action for Happiness: The Art of Relating

Saturday 23 March | 10am – 1pm 


Join us as we explore the importance of practising positive relating: having good relationships with ourselves, our intimate family, neighbours and colleagues, as well as the bigger picture of our lives. A three-hour workshop, run by Karen Matovu, an accredited couples therapist and covering four of Action for Happiness’s 10 Keys to Happier Living – Relating, Giving, Meaning and Acceptance. Places limited – booking essential.

Happy Cafe: Herbs for Health – Herbs for Sleep

Thursday 4 April | 7 – 8pm 


Understand the benefits of herbs and how they can be used to target particular health concerns, and learn the art of blending simple infusions to combat them. This talk is delivered by Alice Nugent of Hippopot Herbs, a qualified Medical Herbalist. This session focuses on herbs to help you to sleep better.
