Chiltern Craft & Wildlife Day

A great family fun day out! See some craft demonstrations, hear choir performances, hold some giant creepy crawlies and take part in workshops. Featuring the following events: 

 

Penn Tiles Ceramic Workshop

Saturday 1 & Sunday 2 June | 1 – 4pm


Join us for a weekend ceramics workshop creating Penn tiles – a traditional craft originating from Penn & Tylers Green in the 14th century. At the height of the industry, tiles were ordered from Penn to decorate parts of the Tower of London, Windsor Castle and Westminster palace. Over the weekend you will create moulds, form your tiles, decorate and glaze your creations using traditional techniques.

Bug Bonanza

Meet mini-beasts from giant spiders and snails to the pretty praying  mantis – hold some ugly bugs if you’re brave enough!

Wycombe Orpheus Male Voice Choir
Sunday 2 June l 2 – 2.30pm & 3 – 3.30pm


Relax on our lawn and be entertained by this long-established and prestigious local choir. Showcasing their wide repertoire, from pop, show tunes and classic choral anthems. Choir members will also be on hand to chat about their experience and benefits of singing in a choir. Budding Male Voice singers – come along to find out more or visit www.wycombeorpheus.org.uk. The choir host an annual young musicians’ festival and award bursaries to support musical education.

Peace Day Picnic

Sunday 21 July
12 – 5pm


Join us on the lawn for a Community Fayre marking 100 years since  the Peace Day Celebrations, commemorating the end of WW1. With music supplied by the Lulala’s accompanied by a gramophone, swing dancing, vintage fairground rides, inflatable fun, community and craft stalls, outdoor games and sports and a circus skills workshop. Drinks and a delicious BBQ will be available to purchase on the day.

Inflatables Fun Day

Join us for a day of jumping fun with inflatable assault courses and bouncy castles. Book for unlimited bouncing for the duration of the event. Refreshments and bar available all afternoon. Tickets are required for those who can toddle/bounce by themselves without being held. Adults do not need tickets to supervise children.

Toddler Yoga Course (6 week)

Come and have fun whilst introducing your little one to the wonderful world of Yoga! This six week course includes yoga-inspired movement and exercise as well as singing, stories,treasure baskets and sensory play. It is a perfect way for the two of you to reconnect at the end of a busy week and reap the amazing physical, emotional and wellbeing benefits of Yoga!

All equipment is provided and no previous yoga experience required.

Pregnancy Yoga Course (6 week)

Breathe. Relax. Connect. A six week Pregnancy Yoga course, which includes yoga-inspired movement and exercise as well as breathing, relaxation and mindfulness. It’s a wonderful way to nurture your body and prepare your mind for the birth of your baby.

Stargazing Evening
Saturday 16 November | 7 – 9pm


Get to know the night sky! This family-friendly introduction to stargazing will feature a talk from Dr Sandy Giles on how to find your way around the sky
using stars and constellations. This will be followed by some time spent looking at the stars through telescopes from the museum grounds with local Wycombe Astro experts, and dinner.

Ticket includes an alcoholic/soft drink, and dinner of a meat/veg chilli.
Please let us know about any dietary requirements at least a week before the event.
